Moisture is the enemy when it comes to nappy rash. The most effective treatment, is to allow the affected skin to air. Change nappies frequently and make sure baby's skin is dry before applying bum cream.. At the first sign of a rash, let your baby lie without a nappy to 'air the bottom' and have a break from the hot moist confines of the nappy. If the rash does not clear within a day or so, your baby may have a yeast infection. This is often bright red and angry looking, with little spotted areas spreading out from the main rash.
